Lola's Insta Live Extravaganza: A Short Play - Cannonball Theatre Festival 2025, Philadelphia Fringe

This short play is special to me. It's about my home, Puerto Rico, and the queer community there that saved my life. The show represents challenges brought on by the global shutdown in 2020 through a queer, Puerto Rican lens, as our main character, Lola, regales us with the story of the three crises that plagued the island from 2017 to 2020.

I want to give a shout-out to my sister and the inspiration behind the show, Adi Love (@ILoveAdiLove). She served as a consultant for this production, and I hope to have her play Lola soon.

I also want to thank our director, Stephanie Gould, and leading lady, Heather Brydon. With less than a month to prepare and every obstacle imaginable, we still made magic.

Salud, chicas. Estoy orgullosa de todes.
